signs of the times, lol

I went into town today for my mini facial at John Lewis, I thought my skin would be pretty dry after my time in the sun.
I was impressed to see our fancy new bus tracker order now working. It looks like we have lots of buses, and in some ways we do, but the vast majority are the CityLink and Stagecoach long distance buses and they don't like stopping on the way into town to pick us up. Other than that the 47 comes every 20- 30 minutes except in the rush hours when it comes when it can, I've never seen a47b! The 43 is run by Lothian Country so it's also an out of town bus, from South Queensferry to the east end and it's very full by the time it gets here. The 13 only goes as far as Craigleith. For the main route out of town to the north west we are not well served in comparison with say Newington, Morningside or Corstorphine. To get anywhere we really have to go into town and then change buses to go out again. Still compared to non city dwellers I guess we do OK.
