Boarding for da Thistle

A beautiful calm and sunny day.  Calm, clear and frost this evening.  My car was frozen when I left work.

Up early, headed for another late shift in the airport.  I've mostly been working with oil and gas flights, then meeting and boarding the last two flights.  A big delay on our morning Edinburgh, everything else on time.  Walkies with Sammy, now feet up.

A lovely day to be working outside on the apron, all the oil and gas flights running smoothly with the calm day.  Aeroplanes come in, helicopters go out, helicopters come back, aeroplanes head away again, and repeat, repeat, repeat.  This was the afternoon flight heading to the Thistle, which is 125 nautical miles from Sumburgh.  Shame I can't jump on one and go see these oil rigs for myself.  Taken at Sumburgh Airport.
