No work today

C from the window company came to look at the French door in the dining room, the windows in the second bedroom and the three stained glass windows.  He is going to give us a quote so we know what to expect and whether to go ahead, but they won’t be installed until the autumn next year.  We’ve given up on the other company, as we just can’t get a quote from them.


Another pack of roller blind samples arrived today, with one more still to come.  There is also one more quote to land in my Inbox.  To keep ourselves amused (LOL), we decided to do some comparisons through one of the online blind companies.  It took a while to do and was rather tedious, but a very interesting exercise. The blinds would be much more affordable, the only drawback being that MrMacD would have to do the installation, which he is actually quite keen to do.

While MrMacD did some gardening this morning, I called my aunt to check up on her and also had a long conversation with my sister.  So, not a lot was achieved today.

We went to the Rotary meeting tonight, where the guest speaker was our new MP, who came across rather better than at the public meeting before the election. 

As we drove home I realised that I didn’t have a blip for today, so quickly took a photo of a rhododendron that has just started blooming.  It’s a lovely colour.
