Quainton Windmill, Buckinghamshire

Today's challenge is "mechanical" so here is an old mechanical device which utilised the wind to mill the grain into flour.

This mill is 191 years old and after tremendous local support is in working order after refurbishment. It is open to the public on Sunday mornings.

This morning the sails were turning in the breeze. It has always surprised me that we took such a long time to return to windmills as a source of power generation.
