Blue Bottles

This is quite a funny story. At the camera club we had a fun competition called “Blue Bottles”. You simply had to take a photo of something with a blue bottle in the picture. Not usually the sort of thing you have at home so there was about 30 of us going round the charity shops asking if they had any blue bottles. Sometimes we were lucky, sometimes not. The day of the competition came round and I was lucky enough to win it! The next competition was a “white teapot” and we all turned to our local charity shops again. That competition is now over. Someone else won that one.
The funny thing is that all the charity shops around here are absolutely chockablock with blue bottles and white teapots.
I can imagine the conversation when we take them back after the competition. “Oh yes! Hang onto that. People keep asking for them!”
