Burnished Gold

Sunshine and blue skies today, especially this afternoon when I went out walking.  This Tulip Tree is in the small park right near me where I used to take my grandson when he was little. 

We took picnics there and it was like a little adventure!  Why do grandchildren grow up so quickly?!  It seems as if it was only yesterday that we went hand in hand on lovely outings with picnics. Sometimes out in the woods and fields, Sometimes down by the lake and often  to different parks. We also spent hours crafting in the winter months, making decorations and Christmas cards and cooking fun and delicious things to eat.

What a huge difference a blue sky makes!

Such wise words! Happiness doesn't derive from possessions: houses, cars, designer bags, luxurious holidays in faraway places. Happiness comes from our attitude to how our life is now. Being content with less trappings (outward signs) and being grateful with simplicity and inner riches.
