Frank Browning
At the Museum today John Tomkins, a local film maker showed a few short films about local history subjects, all of them excellent. One was about Frank Browning, a Torquay man who is featured in the Museum.
Frank Browning ( 1882–1930) was an Antarctic explorer. He was part of the Terra Nova Expedition of 1910–1913, and one of the castaways of the Northern Party that was marooned overwinter on Victoria Land in 1912.
On my way home I came across a window cleaner in a kilt, extra, and a young girl who told her dog to move out of the way for me, as there was an old man trying to get past. To be fair she apologised as did the dog
