Tintern Abbey from the Devil's Pulpit

I took Janet to the railway station this morning, for her trip to London and a few days with Aunty Laurie. After that, the day being rather lovely, I went over to the Forest of Dean and walked some of the Offa's Dyke path.

The main is of Tintern Abbey, taken from the path at the Devil's Pulpit - a limestone pinnacle that juts out over the Wye Valley. I didn't get to climb it (happily) because a couple of lads were atop it having lunch. Probably saved the emergency services a call-out.

The extras are of a particularly lovely Yew tree that has rooted around some of the Dyke walling, and a section of the path lit by the low autumn Sun. And now to begin the dreadful loneliness of the abandoned husband. ;-)

Feel for me, won't you. ;-)
