Underwhelming

A difficult morning, some early morning mum and daughter chat, and eventually a farewell.

D&N came to the airport, hopefully not to make sure I leave :-). Dropping the car off meant walking through impressive puddles.

For a city famed for its damp weather, little has been done at the airport to help the multitudes of visitors stay dry as they navigate their way around public transport.

Check-in done, we enjoyed a hot drink together before I departed for my first flight. I had a voucher for the BA lounge as part of the One World Alliance. Not a patch on the Qatar lounge, or even the FNB lounge in Joburg.

Thankfully, once onboard, the lady in the middle seat found a different spot so it was a little bit more comfortable.
