More street furniture

I had errands to run in Hyde today and spotted this. NYNEX began installing a cable TV & telephone network here in the late '80s, bluntly stopping about a mile from our home.

Virgin eventually took the system over and in recent years expended the network outwards, the evidence being new stripes of tarmac, more discrete little black plastic access covers in the pavement, and for several months afterwards salespeople knocking at the door.

We didn't bother. 5G internet for the win*
