Wednesday: Investiture

Belize, being a realm country, also uses the UK Honours system, so this morning I attended this year’s investiture ceremony.  

Here are this year’s recipients of CBEs, MBEs and OBEs.  The lady in the middle is Dame Froyla Tzalam, the Governor General (and the first indigenous person to hold that role).  It’s more low key than what we see in the UK but I love seeing people being rewarded for their service.
