Aaron's New Guitar
I haven't sung in our Worship Group at church for sometime, but it just seemed right this morning, and I had been to the practice on Friday evening, so was quite familiar with the songs.
Aaron, one of the musicians, was part of the Worship Group and had his new Epiphone Vintage G400 Worn Brown Electric Guitar, which was just beautiful. It had a rosewood body and neck and what looked like Mother of Pearl inlaid - I just had to touch it and enjoy the smooth wood - and Aaron was happy for me to do that, smiling all the while! He told me that he had saved up to buy it - he was obviously very happy with it - and played it well.
After the service I took a photograph of him proudly holding his guitar and then Jonny, who had led worship, and is also a guitarist, came over and I could see he was longing to hold it and perhaps even have a go! Aaron was very gracious and was smiling until Jonny made a grab for it and you can see the expression on his face in the bottom right photograph!
I actually think that Aaron's "face" was put on for the camera as they are great friends and two fantastic lads - I am sure Jonny will get to play it before too long.
Hallelujah!
Praise God in his holy house of worship,
praise him under the open skies;
Praise him for his acts of power,
praise him for his magnificent greatness;
Praise with a blast on the trumpet,
praise by strumming soft strings;
Praise him with castanets and dance,
praise him with banjo and flute;
Praise him with cymbals and a big bass drum,
praise him with fiddles and mandolin.
Let every living, breathing creature praise God!
Hallelujah!
Psalm 150 - The Message
We weren't out under the open skies and didn't use all those instruments this morning, but we certainly praised God and it was wonderful.
Have a great week everyone.
