Chapter 3: the warm glow of success

Well, partial success. Stove number 3 is happy most of the time to putter away on level one which - given it is still fairly mild - is keeping the room warm enough.

Any higher and the ominous “Hot Fun” message appears. Who knows what that could mean?

But the life of a provincial solicitor does not permit fun of any temperature - so we will stay at level one and a cardigan until the heating engineer comes calling to cool the fun level.
