Abstract Thursday - Motion

I have spent far too much time on trying to capture a shot that shows motion, without any success.

So I have resorted to my usual Thursday afternoon fun, playing with an image.  I looked at one of my standard sources for an image I could play with. I chose to go with a block from a patchwork quilt  ( the original I have added as an extra ),
I put the image through a swirl filter, then added a flame effect, both in my favourite LunaPic editing software.
