Humbug

Worsley today, to locate the source of the River Nile Bridgewater Canal. If you ever have a couple of hours to spare when travelling on the M6, Worsley is a charming and interesting place to visit.
This is the Earl of Ellesmere's boathouse. It was built in 18-something to house a specially- commissioned barge for the visit of Queen Victoria. Apparently, one of the greys pulling said barge became so alarmed by the cheering crowds that it jumped into the canal!
