Rain? What Rain?

1421: Thousands die in massive flood at European shores of the North Sea
Quote Of The Day
"The single raindrop never feels responsible for the flood."
(Douglas Adams)
The forecast yesterday was for overnight rain clearing by 09:00 for sunshine, so the Head made the decision to go ahead with today's Sports Day event. It turned out to be the right decision. Things were looking rather iffy at first with the cold and the wind, but as we were doing the warm-up dance prior to the competition proper, the sun came out and then we had a wonderful day.
I have had a fair few grumbles about this year's class, especially compared to the wonderful class I had last year, but they really did me proud today. They cheered on their classmates with gusto, never whined or cried, and put 100% effort into every event. I was so happy.
Now Sports Day is over, there is rain and thunder.
I'm blessed.
