A home at last!
Today is Youth Day and Father's Day in South Africa. Tomorrow is also a public holiday. So we are in the middle of a long weekend.
We tool the opportunity to go through to Pecanwood to see our new house. Finally after months of living in limbo we are a few weeks away from moving in to our own house again. It still doesn't feel real!
We have bought a house that suits all our needs and has enough space for everyone in the family. Its not our dream house nor has it got any special features but it is basically a brand new, spacious, neat house and I know we will be able to turn it into a very comfartable family home.
I am looking forward to unpacking our things, some of which have been in storage for over four years now. There are many things that we will need to buy new but it will be amazing just to have our own things around us again.
Of course the cherry on the top will be to have our dogs home again!
On our way back we stopped for a late father's day lunch. Portuguese chicken for everybody else and oxtail for me.
