Out early to put fuel in the car and go to the recycling site. It was mild and dry so I drove home, picked up my camera then went to Skelwith Bridge.

It was a pleasant walk along by the river to the lake. There were notices and a map warning of a bridge that had been washed away during recent severe weather and details of a diversion that ‘will be wet underfoot’. I spoke to another walker and we couldn’t think where the bridge was but decided it was probably the wooden planks on the same level as the path which cross a small stream that flows into Great Langdale Beck. Neither of us went that far.

Hard to choose between 2 photos. There are cows in the extra.

I’ve a busy weekend and will be back here on Monday
