Ice and frost…

beginning to melt in the sun, although still below freezing most of the day. Brightness is the most import factor at this time of year. Plenty of snow on the high tops of the Cairngorms. Birds all sheltering and feeding in the trees and hedgerows, except for the Kites , two were floating about, scavenging. The Buzzards all seemed to be sitting in the tops of the trees,  catching the heat from the sun.
