WITH A SONG IN MY HEART

By lizzie_birkett

It’s Complicated…

…The Pirates of Penzance.
Choir is getting serious now, though we still have a giggle!
We have songs, words to say and actions and we must learn them all by heart.
In the dialogue I am both Kate and Margaret.
The women are the group of innocent young girls about to strip off on the beach to go for a swim, not knowing that Frederick the young pirate is watching from behind a rock.
Sue - our director - said we have to choose what to wear and she wants it reflect
ourselves, be funny, be outrageous not in traditional Gilbert and Sullivan garb. Hmmm - I’m thinking 1920’s or burlesque or…any other ideas?
It’s going to be fun!

Last night my brother Tony (Ant to me) phoned and we were talking about the Israel invasion of Gaza. He is very knowledgeable about such things and told me things I didn’t know about and it makes me dislike our politicians even more than I did - on both sides.
So much corruption and lies.

I will not be voting for either of the main parties.

I phoned our previous neighbour, Christel in Dumfries today. She will be 89 in December and apart from very bad eyesight she is still very independent - going into town on the bus to do her shopping (which Iceland deliver later on the same day).

I’m going to watch Ghosts now.

Goodnight ;-)X
