Is it summer?

Livingstone daisies (mesembryanthemum) don't seem to have got the memo about it being autumn. It would be great if these buds could flower before the frost comes.
Drove back home through extremely low and bright sun, which I don't like to complain about as it's been a rarity recently. We have bought a running machine, delivered today. It was enough of an effort to set it up, so not yet used! Turns out the addition of one new item to house means we have to get rid of all cds which I never listen to anymore, a large and unpleasant lamp we had sort of forgotten was there, and a small tatty side-table which I'm amazed we still have. Took advantage of the last hour of sunlight and had a nice walk around the river, so at least I went and did something.
