My treat

Every Friday E gives chess lessons at a chess club. Not in the city we live, but nearby. Before he started giving those lessons I made a joke: ‘E only can give lessons if I drive him… So you don’t have to please E, but me…’ As a result I get a free coffee every Friday as soon as the lesson starts :-D Parents waiting for their child have to pay and new parents always look a bit strange when I get my coffee. But when they hear I'm with E and hear the story they all joke about the coffee and what they can do to earn one too. As a result the club has a lot of voluntiers, all started with a joke.
