The Karamajong

A trip to a remote and tremendously poor part of Uganda where Child of Hope have set up a nursery school. It was so humbling to see how people live - in dark mud huts with no furniture and next to no food. Some days, the people chew on leaves to distract themselves from their hunger. The landscape is barren and unforgiving - we all struggled in the heat.

They villagers were so welcoming and grateful for the help they are being given to educate their children, who are all doing better for the care they are being given - a  daily mug of porridge fortified with sugar and butter and regular health checks.

I took many, many photos today but won’t be able to look at them properly until I get home. I’ve been without Wi-Fi for a couple of days, so am on catch up.

Thanks for following my journey!
