Telling it like it is!

I couldn’t believe it when I saw this badge after school today, as my own Year 11’s behaviour has been appalling over the past couple of weeks and I had to have serious words with them this morning.

At the start of today’s lesson, I told them that what I was about to say to them came from my heart, and from a place of my caring deeply about them, their well-being and wanting them to have the very best chance of a wonderful life as they possibly could.

As they looked at me in silence, expecting some poignant and inspirational message, I said ‘PLEASE STOP BEING SO ANNOYING!’

It worked an absolute treat, they were amazingly wonderful and several thanked me afterwards for a great lesson.

You won’t find this is any classroom management manual… but you should.
