Wheels

Tim and I finally broke the bikes out today - for the first time since we moved here.  So glad we did, too - we had a really lovely ride along the old railway towards Lee, and the weather was really good.  I'd wanted to go down to Lee itself, but that bit looked like a muddy walk, rather than a cycle, so we decided to save that for another day.  Instead, we carried on a bit further, until we came to the road that leads to Mortehoe and Woolacombe - then turned back, and stopped at one of the Slade reservoirs to eat our lunch in the sunshine.  So lovely.

The railway line path looks flat, but it felt like a steady climb all the way towards Mortehoe - which was confirmed on the way back, when we didn't need to pedal at all.  So it was a 3-ish mile ride, followed by a 3-ish mile freewheel back home.  Easy!
