Near Harvey Nics (Ooh well posh innit!)
After some morning errands near home your Gal got the urge to Get Outta Here, so she did, across the Pennines to the Leeds branch of the Raspberry Pi Shop...a bit like an Apple store but for Coders & Makers I guess.
Years ago we had a Tandy in every town and more recently a Maplins for things like this. Now the market is served by online stores which is where I'm going to have to get some of the peripheral bits from.
I started off riding over the Woodhead Pass unsure whether to just have a short ride to blow the cobwebs off but settled into a rhythm and hopped on the northbound M1.
After visiting the shop & having a chat with the sales peep who told me he has a hankering for a Triumph Bonneville(!) it was clear that I would be riding home in darkness anyway so I had a stroll into the nearby Victoria Quarter shopping mall for a hot beverage.
I felt extremely out of place in what turned out to be a very posh part of town 'not' dressed in haute couture, but determinedly I took a seat in a nice little cafe. That is where the pic is, of a very chunky Chocolate Brownie waiting to be joined by a Cappuccino. This folks, 'this' is how to blend in, sat outside Harvey Nichols rocking winter motorcycle garb ;-D
The ride home was a little chilly, and quite gusty crossing the moors on the M62 so a plan B was taken turning off for a slower shortcut via Denshaw & Oldham.
Was fun and served a purpose :-)
