Laburnum at Gibside

They say it's very poisonous, the Laburnum tree that is. It is a fabulous bright yellow at the moment, and so very 'lush'. Gibside is looking good with a lot of new developments and the recovery of the old Victorian walled garden to its former state.

One of the ponds was full of wildlife as well, lots of newts, caddis fly larvae, tadpoles, ducks and gigantic creepy black leeches. A fun place, not to fall in!
