Meet Lorna Mackay
Tonight I went to Hexham Photography Group to hear Lorna Mackay discussing her work.
I was captivated. She began photography only in the mid 2010s and has tackled all sorts of projects since then.
She was so enthusiastic that she hardly drew breath. The ideas and descriptions tripped out of her mouth. Unfortunately that meant that some people in the audience could not hear what she was saying as her words blurred into each other.
From an early project in Svalbard through a joint book with a poet to work with Nan Shepherd’s words. Her next project is in a remote Scottish bothy…..
Her website does not show off her work to its best advantage but there are a lot of interesting images on Instagram.
In other news, I had a chest X-ray this morning. I don’t expect it will show anything abnormal, but I’ve had a cough for weeks.
Mum is slightly better but still coughing and breathless. She is glad that so many of you liked yesterday’s blip image.
