Did try to carefully remove a couple of tiles to permit fixing the bath against the wall, but shouldn't have, as there are now a few wee nicks in some adjacent tiles. Ended up having to break those two tiles out... which was very easy. Can remove a couple from somewhere else to fill the gaps with matching tiles. There is a plan, but motivation to implement it will take a long time.

Outside, fixed part of the neighbour's fence, and removed the extra layer that was put in place by me back in the days of there being dogs in the house. Need to replace a rotted fencepost at the end, but my hands are too cut-up and blistered after yesterday's post and gate removal works, plus stuff done to the bath. Aching all over! Cleaned up kitchen tiles that were removed as they were about to fall off a while ago – cleared them of the tile adhesive, by soaking them in warm water for a while, to soften the adhesive, and then scraped and scrubed it off. Some gardening too – cutting back shrubs.

Took three days off work this past week, and over those days, along with this weekend, have probably done more work around the house and garden than at any time over the previous twenty years. None of it was planned. Had hoped to do some outside painting, but it was too wet for that.
