Grey Heron

We arrived back home after a lovely break away. I popped round to the shops and picked up some hake then headed to the loch. I really didn't know what to expect after a week away and going at the wrong time. The little female was standing near the edge of the water and turned round as I approached.I gave her half the hake then made my way to the clearing. The male was standing there and walked over when he saw me. I gave him the other half of the hake then as I was heading home 3 of the crows flew over, luckily I had some biscuits for them.
The photo is of the male (if you can spot him) the shots of the little female were not great as she was behind som branches.
