Light hearted

This is the third book I’ve tried for Squat Betty’s book club. ( Thanks for running it, S ) I bought one about a widows’ wine club and didn’t like the characters. Next I got one by Steve Martin from the films like “Trains, planes and automobiles”. I thought he was really funny in the films but he’s not in the slightest in his book. It’s seriously weird.
I’ve got this one now which I’m really enjoying.
Yesterday’s mystery object was correctly identified as a radiator brush by Heanku and BookyGoatherd.
