Lys Hansen- artist extraordinaire

 
Artist Lys Hansen popped over this afternoon for tea. 
 
It’s always a pleasure to spend time with this well-known Scottish artist known for her exuberant personality and flamboyant dress sense.
 
I first met her years ago when I interviewed her for the Glasgow Herald about one of her exhibitions and later I attended her famous Life Drawing classes held annually at Dollar Summer school.
When it came time to apply to Glasgow School of Art it was Lys who gave me a reference. 
 
And it was Lys who helped us launch Forth valley Open studios.
She is known as a brilliant teacher and lecturer, as well as an artist, and many of us owe her a debt of gratitude.
