Live it loud!

Droplets (and more droplets)

We have had a bit of rain today which came down when I had little to occupy myself.

I had to just sit down and read a magazine for an hour until it stopped. Had intended to go out for an hour but the drizzle put paid to that. As soon as the rain passed I was out to grab a few images.

We were just reflecting over last night while eating dinner just now. Steve, whose house we were at last night was talking to Nik (our local golf course owner and PGA referee) during the evening about things he had done in the past. Steve mentioned that in an earlier life he had spent some time working on video equipment that was used to analyse golfer's swings. He let on that he was in a number of photographs in the PGA Monthly magazine back in 1979, but, unfortunately, he had lost his copy.

No problem Nik says - I have every copy since the early seventies. So, he nips back over the road to find and come back with said magazine. What are the chances that one person has a magazine containing photographs of his neighbour but from twenty five years before they met.

So, conversation continues. Rich next door tells us that, unbeknown to us all, he was in the navy for seven years after leaving school. He did much training on equipment for ship damage and fire control - it turns out that Steve (the same Steve) works for the company that was involved in it's installation and is currently working on refurbishing them at two different navy sites.

Now the race is on for us all to get some link from the past with Steve!
