       The weather was atrocious on the drive over and the traffic on Interstate 40 was very heavy. Could the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday have had something to do with that?  The behaviour of most drivers was atrocious too. Heavy rain, heavy spray, and drivers were behaving as if it was sunny and dry and visibility excellent . . . . yours truly managed to keep a four second gap from the vehicle in front of me but . . . very stressful.

EDIT: oh yes, the vignetting: in my absent minded haste I whacked a DX lens on an FX body . . .
