Wash The Flag
Three Nights
Three Cities
Three Gigs
The Hatrick (unfortunately by chance - rather tiring, but well worth it)
Tonight I went with a Nottingham friend to a punk gig on the launch night of PUNK; RAGE + REVOLUTION punk exhibition in the Backlit gallery basement.
It's a punk exhibition with stories of local and non-local content and highlights local feminist, Black and LGBTQueer subculture. This was reflected in the bands and audience. I'll visit it another time.

Gig Review
Unified Roots (Punk) - Better live then recorded. Coolest guy wearing best trousers of the night - Tartan with Zips
Marvin's Revenge (Post Punk) - Best sounding recorded, but less good live
Arch Femmesis (Electro Punk) - Striking and charismatic lead singer; music not quite to my taste
Cheap beer and a few chairs - much appreciated by the veteran audience members.
Wash The Flag
Web search suggests it's named after a civil rights action in Peru where national flags were collectively washed in public squares in cities as a call for democracy and better human rights, Political persecution and poverty etc.
Particularly apt because it was held in an old hosiery factory, whose 19th Century owner Samuel Morley was a philanthropist, treated his employees extremely well - pensions, sick pay etc, and was an MP!
