A photograph and a canvas

Perhaps not to everyone's taste , but it was wet , dull , dismal and rainy day. So I took a photograph of the fence and the pond . The pond was a light brown with all the mud run-off into it and the strange light gave the rail fence a peculiar color.
So what I did , since I don't use photoshop, was to blur the photo and push to the limit all the various color sync settings and play around with the exposure and contrast.
maybe no oil painting but I did enjoy the effect. 4 minutes to take the photograph and 3 hours to make the simulated oil painting.
