'Oak Apple.'

The day hasn't been brilliant, low cloud and showers.  I decided to stay indoors and have a go at still life.  I started using Aperture priority, but I thought that would leave to much editing, so I swapped to Manual priority and control the amount of light.  This is one of the results as I experimented using different F-stops.  As you can see light light comes from the side (called Rembrandt lighting as his paintings were lit this way.)  It looks like more still life will be produced using this type of lighting in days to come when it isn't possible to get out.
The apple used has red flesh, something I didn't know existed, and isn't bruising.
