Sunshine on Leith: Act 1

We both had a great time last night at the Big Country Concert.  I don't think I've ever seen the town hall so busy and the atmosphere was great - lots of people really enjoying themselves - dancing and singing along (including us :-) ) 

I thought I might feel tired this morning but I slept well and so was decided to join others in a Sunday morning swim.  It was another misty morning with some leaves still on the trees.  

This afternoon we made our way to the theatre to see Sunshine on Leith - the first of three performances which we will be attending.  We'd bought tickets ages ago for a mid-December outing with the u3a. I then received two complimentary tickets as part of my prize for "Tayken By Me"  and we decided to get tickets for today's matinee which is part of the opening weekend. We've done this before and it can be fun to see how performances develop. We then got  more complimentary tickets for the official opening night next Friday and after some humming and hawing decided to accept (and keep others ones) as these nights are usually fun with refreshments provided afterwards. 

We both really enjoyed today's performance - it had a real feel-good feel to it and the sound was much improved on last year.  Watch this space on how it develops ....
