A fine day at the Races today. Musselburgh, just a short trip out from the Capital is a great little horse racing track, and today was their big event of the year. The place was packed solid with happy punters but we managed to get a nice table inside a marquee to spectate from. The fact that it was right next to the bar was a bit of a bonus too.

Samantha's now a complete convert and we're already planning a return next year. You'd think from her big smiley face there she'd just won a wad of dosh but, truth is, she was just over the moon that she managed to go up all by herself and place a bet with the bookie without getting all flustered.

We only had one winner over the whole card (just enough to keep us in the black), but that wasn't a problem at all, it was just such a great day out.
