Cityscapes

L and I went on a little excursion down in Shockoe Bottom today. We each had our dogs and we began down near the end of the canal along the river. Then we headed into the city to try and find interesting alleys. I was able to add a few spots to my list of Awesome Portrait Locations, including this railroad trestle. We won't discuss the legal-ness of this impromptu photo shoot. All I can say is that when I look up at the trestle my first thought was "you know, you could climb up there" and she had agreed to do it nearly before I convinced myself I was serious. I shot a couple dozen frames here and came out with a handful of shots that I love. This was probably the most fun I've had with the camera in weeks. :)

(Oh, and by the way, the grime on L is the layer of dirt, coal dust, rust, and whatever else might be coating the trestle)
