TOP SECRET

I’ve been writing a wee story of how I found George Orwell’s motorbikes on the island of Jura on 1983. He lived there for a few years in a remote farmhouse called Barnhill, where he wrote 1984. I went there the year before on a kind of pilgrimage, looking for his long abandoned motorcycles. I found them leaning against a tree. I believe he rode a 1930s Rudge, but I have no idea what these bikes are. (Are you listening ‘OilyRag?’)
