Ambleside’s Christmas lights switch on today with Father Christmas out on the boats before leading the lantern procession through the streets and doing the switch on. Unfortunately the weather forecast was for rain all day though it was lighter and more showery in the afternoon.
After lunch we went to the park for a play then wandered around the stalls. Hot chocolate and cakes were enjoyed. Then chips. I didn’t stay out for the procession and fireworks.
