Sussex to Scotland by rail and wheelchair
On a travel day when so much could have gone wrong, everything went very smoothly.
=Part 1 by car=
My middle sister drove us to her local railway station.
=Part 2 by train=
We travelled on a Southern train to Victoria.
=Part 3 by taxi=
A cab took us from Victoria to Kings Cross.
=Part 4 by train (2)=
We travelled (first class) on an LNER train to Edinburgh Waverley.
=Part 5 by taxi (2)=
A cab booked by LNER brought us home.
The railway passenger assistance staff could not have been more helpful. In my blip is one of them leading Mr hazelh and Mummy hazelh to our train on Platform 4 at London Kings Cross at 12:30.
Exercise today: small amount of walking (6,689 steps).
