An emotional day out...

For the first time since my mom moved into the care place, we finally had everything set up for a day out - that didn't involve doctors. As you can see in the main photo is my mom in her new wheelchair and her grandson. The first extra is my mom by the water - also known as in bliss. The second extra is my sister and mom while we had lunch looking at the lake. A wonderful 4 hours was had together..

This was a very emotional day as my mom looked right at me and asked if this is all. When I asked her what she meant by that she said I'm stuck needing help for everything and I can't do anything myself. I reminder her that is why she is at the place she is at so she didn't have to do anything and that my sister and I will always be there when we can to help her, give comfort, feed her, take her for a walk and... She said she didn't want to live like that. All I could do was to change the subject and remind her how wonderful to be with her grandson down by the water this day..

We are already planning the next outing somewhere grander...
