Delight and farewell

We have had the total delight of a 2 day visit from Dr D's new niece  Suzanna and her son Elliot, both here at Careywood (visiting from the UK) and the following day also as we drove in convoy down to the bach at Lake Tarawera, dropped them at Te Puia in Rotorua to get a taste of Maori art and culture and then out to the lake to show them the territory and some of our works of Charles Blomfield who is Suzanna's 2x great grandfather.
She has been such a delightful and graciously generous guest and has hugely enjoyed meeting her new cousins and Elliot , his second cousins.
All this, thanks to the wonders of modern DNA testing.Such a thrill : ))
