Shopping plaza

I went to the grocery store to pick up the last things for our Thanksgiving meal. It was crowded, which I thought was because of the upcoming holiday. I told Jill, and she said there was an ice storm forecast for overnight and tomorrow. Great.

I gave an informal verbal job acceptance today. The formal offer will come tomorrow when I sign the offer letter. The pay is slightly higher than the other offer, and the benefits and perks are better. Plus, the job is more narrowly focused on my strengths as an editor, so it's a better fit.

I'm excited and relieved. Now I can enjoy my birthday on Saturday.
