Male Goosander

I would have missed this handsome guy if I hadn't spotted an elderly gentleman taking photos of some activity on the river.

A fine autumnal morning with ideal conditions for dog walking in the park.
Most of the large leaves have found their way to the woodland floor where they will provide some wonderful hiding places for little critters and their winter provisions. There are still plenty of the smaller leaves that I suspect will cling on until we have some autumnal gusts strong enough to dislodge them.
