Great North Swim

It's finally here! The Great North Swim we've been training for... 1 mile in Lake Windermere. It was a brilliant day full of lovely people... and I finished in 1 hour 4 mins 40 seconds... which isn't a fast time but is 13 mins faster than my PB in practices - so I was well chuffed! This photo is of the 'wave' that set off before ours... I did wonder if I could get away with taking a camera on the actual swim but thought I'd best not!

Our wonderful support team looked after us all stupendously, and even sang me over the finish line with a chorus of 'Sweet Caroline'.
