Friday night

Wow. Dubai experienced a terrific electrical storm through the night. Copious amounts of rain followed, flooding many of the newer areas of the city. Karama, thankfully, stayed dry and accessible. School got cancelled for G, not that it mattered, as G doesn't work on Fridays.

Both our engagements in the evening got cancelled for this reason. *Sigh*. No matter. Both are postponed to next Friday. The rain took all the dirt out of the air and left us with a beautifully clear evening and (finally) some cooler weather. I finished work later than normal, but it was GREAT to get into the car and head to the Sol Sky Bar. All the windows were open. We sat outside looking at the nightlife on the Creek. It was pleasant but not cold.

I said to G that we ought to walk a bit, so my blip is of boats in the marina. The LED lights help make a pretty picture. We got home, and it was straight to bed for me.
