Unpacking has started..

I got a ride to work today from a colleague, on our way I received a phone call that my boxes would be at my house in about an hour and a half.. so I went in at work, checked e-mails and left again to catch the bus back home.

It took about an hour longer than he had estimated I think.. but there he was, on his own.. and because the truck could not get close to my house, he brought the boxes from truck to the hall and I carried almost all of them up the stairs to my house. I assume normally when you pay a moving company to ship your belongings, they will do it for you. This guy said he normally doesn't even do moves, but because he had to go to Genova and near Pisa anyway, they had asked him to take my boxes with him. I guess legally I could have stood there and watched him do everything, but I just couldn't.. think I'll go for a different moving company next time though.

So now I've started unpacking. First four have been emptied, 18 to go. I love seeing my cupboards getting full :)
